A piece of advice: Follow instructions to the letter! If you do everything per instructions and the upgrade program can not establish communication with the receiver; Go to MENU / SYSTEM SETUP / NMEA DGPS CONFIG and make sure that NMEA and DGPS are set to OFF. It solved the problem for a number of users.
